- Scan any grocery barcode and log a meal in seconds — no scan limits, no premium tier
- Calorie and macro targets computed from your goal, your training week, and your steps — and they recalibrate from your real logs over time
- Full strength, cardio, and BJJ logging — nothing gated
- Supported by an optional tip jar — no investors, no ads, no subscription
Built for people who run their own program
Food, without the friction
- Scan a barcode, tap a favorite, or enter by hand
- Or photograph your plate — on-device AI suggests foods and portions, you confirm
- Calories and protein against your targets, carbs and fat alongside
Weight, as a trend
- Weigh-ins become a smoothed trend line, not daily noise
- Projection to your goal at your current rate
- Smart-scale entries sync in from Apple Health
Training, your way
- Strength: sets with reps, load, and RIR; double progression suggests what to add next
- Cardio: runs, intervals, bike, row — mirrored to Apple Health
- BJJ: rounds, intensity, soreness — with recovery flags when hard days stack
See it, review it
- Record lifts and rolls; trim, slow-mo, scrub frame by frame
- Progress photos in a private, app-local gallery
- Reports: chart any metric, overlay two, see how they move together
Private by design
Your data never leaves your phone. That's not a promise buried in a policy — it's FitDIY's App Store privacy label.
- No account. No ads. No analytics. No cloud.
- Everything lives on your device — Apple Health sharing is opt-in and under your control
- Delete any entry, or everything, anytime
- Even the AI food scanner runs entirely on your phone
A 2.6 GB AI model that never phones home
Photograph a meal and an on-device language model (Gemma, via LiteRT-LM) identifies the foods and portions for you to confirm, edit, and log. The model is an optional download, photos are processed in memory and never uploaded, and nothing is logged without your confirmation. It's labeled experimental — because we'd rather be honest than impressive.

Why is it free?
FitDIY has no backend — everything runs on your phone, so another user costs us nothing. No investors, no ads, no subscription: it's built by one person for his own training, shared for everyone, and supported only by an optional tip jar. Here's the story →
